I saw the length of this video and the title was very promising as well. Then I heard the sounds you were going to teach us - I thought, "Well, maybe this video is really old and dubstep hasn't evolved yet when this video came o- ONE YEAR AGO??? ". Yeah, I'm gonna watch someone else's tutorial.

I think it's absolutely brilliant, and it sounds as if you have the same issue as me, not being a great drummer. Beat making/variations has been my weakness in my music since the 90's, and after my writing partner and I split, I resorted to loops all the time (just for drums - before that, he used to play all drums and I'd do everything else, chords and melodies and such, my strength). Playbeat is so intuitive to me that it's allowed me for the first time to CONFIDENTLY make my own beats with good results. The thing that bothers me the most is that although there is stem export and midi drag and drop, I want to be able to make variations of the main pattern and trigger those via midi, so the sequencing actually always stays in Playbeat. This is a much easier way of working to me rather than use the pro tools piano roll for any changes. Audiomodern said it would be coming in a free update but that was over a year ago. That said, I have dealt with their support a few times and I have to say they are just incredible people. Kind and so helpful, and so FAST to answer! Wonderful plugins. I bought the entire bundle and I regret nothing! So glad I chose them over the captain plugins :) I was going back and forth, audiomodern had the recent sale and that clenched it.:)

Try a Hertz that equals 3, 6, or 9. You will pull from the harmonics of the universe rather the 440hz which equates to 8. 4+4+0=8.

I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for your course. I came in here trying to figure out how the heck to use my Vital synth so I can try making some EDM for the first time and left with answers for how to use practically any VST and a bunch of other questions I'd been stuck on for a long time (completely random things like why bitcrushers sounded like garbage on my instruments when I was looking to make chiptune or what certain knobs do). Definitely gonna take a while for this all to stick in my brain, but I genuinely feel like I've gotten the equivalent of a sound design degree out of this. Thank you so, so much! This is probably the single most engaging, informative, and generally useful video I've seen in years!
